So once again it has been absolutely forever since I wrote, and once again, I'm very sorry! The past few weeks have been crazy! I got a new job, which started off all the crazyness. I did a first interview on Monday the 21st of September, 2 hours after I got home, I was called to come in for a second interview the next dat. And so I went for the second interview and just after I got home from that they offered me the job! And I started on Thursday the 24th! It was insane! And since then I've been so busy and so tired that I sadly neglected my little blog!
So since I have been so busy, I haven't really had too much time to shop, but of course I bought myself just a little congratulations treat for getting this job! How could I not?! So I took myself to MAC and I picked up the beloved repromote of Feline Kohl Power! And I love it, its so creamy and the most gorgeous black ever. When my last Feline ran out, I was so sad, and getting a new one just about made my day! And if you weren't lucky enough to pick it up with the DSquared2 collection, fear not! It is being released again in December, the 26th to be exact, with the Love Lace Collection! And if you're like me and love the texture of the Kohl Power formulation, you'll be glad to know that two more shades, Raven and Sense of Style, are coming out at the same time. And I'm sure you all know and love www.temptalia.com, but if you don't know about it, please go check it out, you will love it! So much info, great reviews and tips...its a girly paradise in blog form! I've been drooling over all the new holiday collections from so many brands! And MAC Holiday 2009 is on top of my wishlist right now!
When I was at MAC scooping up my coveted Feline, I also decided to go ahead and pick up the 219 brush, which I have been wanting forever and ever. I haven't had the chance to use it just yet, but I'm excited to try it out!
So what collections are you looking forward to? Do the MAC upcoming MAC collections tickle your fancy? Do you own a 219 brush? Love it? Hate it? Let me know!

Candles!
So I've got another new love: candles! I've always thought they were pretty and everything, but I never really got into them too much. Lately though, I've been candle crazy! I'm really loving the Slatkin & Co. candles from Bath and Body works, actually. My boyfriend and I have picked up a few scents from them and I'm loving the way they smell! We have Pineapple Mango, Caribbean Salsa, Orange Nectar, Coconut Lime Verbena, Cucumber Melon, and our newest additions, Spiced Cider and Kitchen Spice.
I love all of the scents, they really do smell quite strongly, not like some other candles I've seen with barely any scent at all. I do have one issue though. All of the lighter colored candle waxes seem to burn perfectly, nice and even and all the way to the edges. However, the candles with darker waxes, and particularly brownish or orangey colors, don't melt nearly as nicely. They are much more uneven and look a little lumpy after they re-harden.
All in all, I will keep buying the Slatkin & Co., candles, no matter what color the wax. Maybe its just been a coincidence, but either way, they smell so good its definitely worth it. They get my stamp of approval, and are totally recommended!
Let me know what kind of candles you like! Help me feed the obsession! And stay gorgeous everyone!

Sunday Chat!
Happy Sunday everyone! I love Sundays, and lately they've been even better. Its been unseasonably hot here, and I'm loving it! The weather is supposed to stay at mid-July type temperatures right through the month and I'm just thrilled!
Now, I haven't done really any shopping since my last post, but I did have an experience that I thought warranted a bit of blogging. As we all know, I adore Lush. I rarely ever find a product there that I don't enjoy using. However, a couple of days ago I went to use a particular item I had bought, and I had a bit of an issue with it. I'm not really going to go into exactly the issue with the item, but suffice it to say that I didn't feel it was usable. I was of course sad, because Lush is not cheap by any means, so I decided to take a bit of action and let the company know that I was disappointed in a product.
Let me tell you, the customer service I got from the CSR that contacted me back after I emailed them was FABULOUS. I really couldn't have asked for a better response from them; they replied crazy fast and were completely helpful and fantastic about the whole thing. I think its getting rarer and rarer to find a company that really does go that extra bit further for their customers and I feel that Lush definitely did that for me. I will definitely continue buying from them, and I recommend Lush so highly to everyone!
Well, that is all I really had to say this time. I`m off to bake some pumpkin cookies (yum) and watch a bit of True Blood! Enjoy your Sunday evening and stay gorgeous everyone!

An Alarming Sight!
So last night, I was going about my business as usual, doing my whole makeup removing, cleansing, toning, blah blah blah routine. And that is when I saw it! Or at least I'm pretty sure I did. My boyfriend says I'm imagining things, but nonetheless, I think I saw it and that is what matters. Under eye wrinkling? Really? But I'm only 25! And I take good care of my skin, at least in my opinion. I never EVER no matter how much I sometimes want to, go to sleep wearing makeup. I use toner, and I moisturize and use sunscreen. But here we are. Now maybe it wasn't really wrinkling. Maybe it was the light, or a weird smudge of mascara, but it was still something and that is why I am writing this. I think it may be time for me to start using an eye cream. And I'm hopelessly lost! I need your help! Please please pretty please write in the comments, and let me know your favorites, and why you like them! Thanks everyone, and stay gorgeous!

Oops...
Oh my GOODNESS! It has been absolutely forever since I've written here, and honestly, I've really missed it! I do love making these posts, even if its only for my own benefit. Anyway, a little bit has happened in the last couple of weeks, including just a little bit of shopping, of course! I can't really remember exactly the order in which I bought things, but that's OK, right? Right!
So its been beautiful and summery these past couple of weeks, and that it at the very least part of the reason I've been so MIA. I'm desperately grasping on to every last scrap of summer that I can! Where I live, winters can be insanely unforgiving, and I am definitely not looking forward to it. I always try to keep summer in my head though, even all through winter and one way I do that is by wearing skirts! Skirts and dresses, rather than jeans, are my version of everyday wear. I am not at all the type of girl to save skirts for "dressing up". I think every day is a day to dress up for! And I took advantage of summer again and picked up a couple more skirts! First off I got a cute plain black box-pleated skirt from H&M. Its really quite nice, a bit of a heavier cotton so I can avoid that embarrassing wind-catching-skirt phenomenon. I love the skirt because it is super versatile and I can dress it down a bit with an embellished tee, or make it a bit more formal with relative ease. The second skirt I got was from Club Monaco, and its a really nice flowy white cotton skirt that I got on sale for an amazing $19 down from $140! I love getting great pieces at great prices! I picked up a few other odds and ends in the clothing department as well, pretty much just a bit of lingerie and some plain tank tops for layering though, nothing too exciting. Now on to beauty stuff!
I sadly missed out on the Blonde Brunette Redhead collection from MAC, and I was pretty disappointed that I hadn't gotten my hands on a few of the things from that release. One of those things I wanted but didn't get was Henna eyeshadow, and I was recently lucky enough to come across it! It is a gorgeous dark gold color and I am loving it! I don't have Sumptuous Olive, which I have heard this can be compared to so I'm not completely sure how similar they are, but I can definitely say that Henna is just beautiful I'm really looking forward to playing around with it some more!
As for the Makeup Art Cosmetics collection, I only picked up one thing. I had wanted a few other things, including the purple quad, but when I swatched those colors I really wasn't feeling their pigmentation. But that is ok, because the item I did purchase I am in love with! I got the Artistic License technakohl liner, the bright blue one. It is so pretty! I have been using it to line my lower lash line when I have a pretty, neutral look on the rest of my eye. It really makes the eyes pop, and its a fun little unexpected way to play with color! One more thing I wanted and wasn't lucky enough to get was actually one of the promo images! The Marilyn Minter one to be exact, the closeup of the messy, glittery purple eye. I think that is just such an amazing photo and I would love to have it to hang on my wall!
Other than a new Studio Fix powder, that's all I've gotten from MAC in the last little bit. Of course I can't ever resist popping in there when I'm near a location, so we'll see how long that lasts. I have picked up a few other things from a few other places though. I've recently started loving the Sephora by OPI nail polishes. I've had Metro Chic for a while now, and really love it, so when I heard they were coming out with a matte version, I was so excited. I really love the matte nail trend and I'm really looking forward to picking up some more matte colors. I did pick up the matte Metro Chic, along with the color Under My Trench Coat, which is a traditional color, not a matte. I really do love the matte version of Metro Chic, I think it looks really amazing, and it seems to dry really fast which of course is fantastic. I've still got to try Under My Trench Coat, but I have a feeling that I'm going to like it a lot! On my nail polish want list is definitely a couple of OPI's other matte-version polishes as well, especially the matte Lincoln Park After Dark, which I bet is gorgeous. I wish I could find the Essie Matte About You mattefying top coat, but I still haven't found it anywhere. I'm wondering if maybe it just isn't available in Canada yet? Sad!
As with nearly every other post here, I've also been in to Lush recently. I think I have a problem, I'm a bit of an addict. This time I picked up a Melting Marshmallow Moments bath melt (love!) and a lovely, wobbly blob of Sweetie Pie shower jelly. I love the shower jellies, they're so fun! And they smell really nice. Sweetie Pie smells sort of fruity and cherry-ish, and its really lovely. The jellies don't seem to dry out my skin either, which is really great since one or two Lush soaps have dried my skin out a bit in the past. The last thing I picked up at Lush was actually a wrapped gift for a friend. The Bunty gift is just so cute and it has such great-smelling bath bombs and bubble bars. So girly and I really do think its a great gift choice.
Those, I think, are all of the exciting things I've picked up over the last little while. I've been really taking advantage of summer, but I've missed writing here, so I'm definitely going to do my best to do so on a more regular basis! How about you? Have you been enjoying the summer? Have you tried out any great products? Let me know when you've been doing, and what products you've been loving! Oh, and I've been trying to figure out what foundation to try out for fall and winter. I want something a bit more moisturizing, and any tips or recommendations are greatly appreciated! Thanks so much! And stay gorgeous!

New Brush Love!
So yesterday my boyfriend and I had a great day. We went out for a fantastic lunch, went and saw the movie District 9 - which was incredible and totally not what I had been expecting - and since we were at the mall anyway, I decided to do a little bit of browsing in a few favorite stores!
Of course we went to MAC, just to take a look. I didn't get anything since I'm waiting for Thursday and the Make Up Art Cosmetics collection release. But I still had to go in, and look around, and lust after the 182 kabuki brush. I have been wanting that brush soooo bad! Ever since I saw it I knew it would be perfect for applying my Studio Fix Powder foundation. The only problem is that spending $55.00 on a brush would make me feel so guilty. $55.00 on one brush when I could spend the same on four eyeshadows? I don't know if I could do it!
So after leaving MAC empty handed we headed on over to Sephora, where they were STILL out of Deep Throat blush. Disappointing, but I'm still going to keep trying! We went over to Lush next, and smelled a few soaps and things, and ended up picking up an Avobath bath bomb for Adam, a couple Butterballs for me, and an Each Peach massage bar for both of us!
I was still a bit sad about leaving behind my beloved 182, but I decided to go to the drugstore and take a peek at a few things anyway, before heading home. I wanted to look for the new mattefying top coat from Essie, but I didn't see any. What I did see though, was a display of Ecotools brushes. I'd heard good things about them, so I decided to take a look. And when I did, I saw the cutest kabuki brush. The Ecotools Retractable Kabuki to be exact.
OMG. It is so soft! I had to get it! And the best part? It cost a fifth of what the 182 from MAC costs! I took it out as soon as I got home to try it, and I am in LOVE! Its dense, and soft, and I feel like it picks up the right amount of product. I got great coverage and I was able to buff out my foundation to the perfect airbrushed look. I will definitely be buying a backup or two of this brush, as well as recommending it to friends! I'll probably end up trying more Ecotools brushes as well! All in all, a very successful day!
What brushes do you love? Any that you didn't expect to love? Also, has anyone else seen District 9? Let me know, and stay gorgeous everyone!

Surprise vacation!
Hi! Its been forever since I posted, and I missed it! First I got sick (boo strep throat!) and then my boyfriend and I went away for a few days. We went to the mountains and Lake Louise and some other crazy gorgeous places, and it was a total sneaky surprise that he planned! I loved it and I definitely miss being there. I don't think I've ever seen anything so gorgeous...the water was this amazing blue, and the hotel was fabulous and it was a well needed rest!
And now I'm back home and back to work and only a few days away from the Make Up Art Cosmetics collection from MAC! I'm definitely picking up the Photo Realism quad, a jar of Cocomotion, a couple of lipsticks and a liner or two! And maybe more, we shall have to wait and see. And when I do pick up my goodies, I will of course let you know what they are :-) What are your cravings, if any, from the new collection? Definitely let me know!
I've been feeling like doing some more clothes shopping lately as well. I'm really really picky about my clothes, I never wear pants or jeans, unless it is 100% absolutely unavoidable, even if its blizzarding out. Actually I don't even own a pair of jeans right now. I really prefer skirts and dresses and cutesy things like that and so I think I may need to hit up Anthropologie or something pretty soon! Hopefully I can turn my MAC shopping day in a week or so into a clothing day too? I hope so!
So let me know what you guys are craving or loving right now, and stay gorgeous everybody
